The new IBM Database Magazine contains two stories written by Informix veterans Stuart Litel and Lester Knutsen:

• Stuart Litel: Insider Info on the IIUG Informix Conference
• Lester Knutsen: Cool New Stuff for Informix

However I could not fully agree with Stuart's view that Kansas City is always the best place for the IIUG conference. At least it would be much more easier for me to convince my girlfriend to escort me if the IIUG conference would be held in San Jose or Chicago :-)

Anyway, considering the closeness to the IBM Informix developers as well as the cost advantages that Kansas City has to offer, it is probably still the optimal place for the IIUG conference in 2010.
