If you haven't had the chance to download the upcoming IDS 11.5 release within the scope of the open beta, I encourage you to do it now.
Unfortunately I'm not allowed to talk about the new functionality available in IDS 11.5 because of the annoying NDA which is really counterproductive !! All that I can say is that IDS 11.5 has some technology included which pushes it even further ahead of DB2 and SQL Server when it comes to high availability and scalability. IDS 11.5 will be valid alternative to Oracle RAC/DataGuard with a significant lower configuration and administration overhead.
