On Tuesday this week the 1st of several worldwide events with the motto Discover the New Face of Informix has taken place in New York City. It seems that it was a huge success.

Bruce Weed wrote a detailed report about the event. Let me just quote a single, but important sentence from my point of view:

"As I mentioned in the beginning I felt the event was very successful, 
but for me the reason was because it was the first step in working 
with each one of you (our clients and BPs) on the new future of Informix."

Looking at this sentence and the positioning update published by IBM a few days ago, I believe that we are on a good way to ensure a promising future for Informix.
